In one notable example, a nurse was able to quickly pull up the local amiodarone infusion policy on Eolas to identify and correct an incorrectly charted dosage for a patient in resus — ensuring the patient received the correct dose without delay.
Guideline adherence has improved as a direct consequence of faster, easier access to policies. When staff can reach the right protocol in seconds, compliance follows naturally. The department has also utilised Eolas for rosters, allowing staff to easily access their schedules from home without relying on informal messaging channels. Updating policies and rosters is straightforward, and staff consistently have access to the most up-to-date documents.
