Eolas Medical app is licensed to You (End-User) by Eolas Medical, located and registered at 26 Greenwood Hill, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT8 7WF ('Licensor'), for use only under the terms of this Licence Agreement. Our VAT number is 396304870. By downloading the Licensed Application from Apple's software distribution platform ('App Store'), Google's software distribution platform ('Play Store') and/or using the Eolas Medical web based browser application (app.eolasmedical.com) (Web and mobile applications henceforth known as the “Platform”), and any update thereto (as permitted by this Licence Agreement), You indicate that You agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement, and that You accept this Licence Agreement.
The Licensed Application is not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) or patient data processing regulation in any country, therefore you must not use this Licensed Application to not include or share any patient data on the Platform. Eolas Medical is designed exclusively for use by registered healthcare professionals (HCPs), including but not limited to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, medical students, and other licensed clinical professionals and administrative staff working in healthcare. By using the platform, you confirm that:
- You are a qualified or trainee healthcare professional with the necessary credentials to access clinical knowledge.
- You will not share access to the platform with individuals who do not meet these criteria.
- You will use the platform solely for professional and educational purposes within your scope of practice.
Eolas Medical reserves the right to:
- Verify your credentials during account registration or at any time during your use of the platform.
- Suspend or terminate access if you are found to be ineligible or misrepresenting your professional status.
- If you do not meet these requirements, you must not register for or use Eolas Medical.
- INTRODUCTION & ACCEPTANCE
Welcome to Eolas Medical. This End User License Agreement & Disclaimer (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of the Eolas Medical platform, including its software, features, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, including any Artificial Intelligence (AI) features, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
- LICENSE GRANT & USAGE RESTRICTIONS
- License Grant: Eolas Medical grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to use the Platform solely for its intended purpose within your professional or personal scope.
- Restrictions You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform.
- Share or sublicense the Platform.
- Use the Platform in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FEATURES & DISCLAIMER
Depending on the use case, Eolas Medical may include Artificial Intelligence-powered features designed to assist users in retrieving relevant information more efficiently. These AI-driven responses do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations and should not be relied upon as such.
By using the AI features, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:- AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading.
- The AI does not replace professional judgment, clinical guidelines, or consultation with qualified healthcare providers.
- You assume full responsibility and all risks associated with relying on AI-generated content.
- Eolas Medical disclaims all liability for any actions, decisions, or outcomes based on AI-generated information.
- You are solely responsible for independently verifying AI-generated information before acting on it, particularly in clinical or medical decision-making contexts.
- Sources for any responses will always be referenced and checked.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, software, and materials available on the Platform, are the exclusive property of Eolas Medical or its licensors. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership rights. A licensor is either a content provider that Eolas licences content from or a healthcare organisation that uses Eolas to make its content available to its staff. In both cases separate agreements are in place between Eolas and these organisations.
- DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- General Disclaimers
- The Platform, including all AI features, is provided “as-is” and “as-available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Limitation of Liability; to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Eolas Medical shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the Platform.
- Eolas Medical does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical recommendations.
- Healthcare Institution Content is provided by medical institutions and it is the admins responsibility to keep accurate and up to date. This content is provided for reference purposes and should not replace clinical judgment.
- Knowledge Hub content is provided for informational purposes and should not replace clinical judgment.
- Eolas Medical does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- USER RESPONSIBILITIES
By using the Platform, you agree: - To use it only for lawful and ethical purposes.
- To not hold Eolas Medical responsible for any clinical, professional, or personal decisions made based on AI-generated content or other Platform features.
- You are a qualified or trainee healthcare professional with the necessary credentials to access clinical knowledge.
- You will not share access to the platform with individuals who do not meet these criteria.
- You will use the platform solely for professional and educational purposes within your scope of practice.
- Not to to store, upload, or distribute patient-identifiable data or protected health information (PHI)
- Not to misrepresent oneself as an authorised healthcare professional.
- Use Eolas Medical for advertising or promotional purposes without permission.
- Scraping or attempting to extract data from the Platform.
- USE OF DATA
You acknowledge that Licensor will be able to access and adjust Your downloaded Licensed Application content and Your personal information, and that Licensor's use of such material and information is subject to Your legal agreements with Licensor and Licensor's privacy policy: https://www.eolasmedical.com/legal/privacy. You acknowledge that the Licensor may periodically collect and use technical data and related information about your device, system, and application software, and peripherals, offer product support, facilitate the software updates, and for purposes of providing other services to you related to the Licensed Application. Licensor may also use this information to improve its products or to provide services or technologies to you, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you. Eolas Medical collects and processes certain user data to enhance the platform and provide a better experience. This includes:
Usage Data: Identifying bugs, system errors, and performance issues to ensure platform stability.
Personalisation: Understanding user preferences to tailor content, ensuring relevance to your medical specialty and interests.
Content Engagement: Monitoring interactions to improve search functionality, relevance of resources, and accessibility.
Security & Compliance: Ensuring secure access, preventing fraud, and complying with regulatory requirements.
Third parties such as pharmaceutical and medical device companies may use Eolas Medical to make available targeted and clinically relevant content based on the user data entered into the platform. This content is always reviewed by the Eolas Medical team. Eolas Medical may also use all usage data for commercial use as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you.
By using the platform, you agree to the processing of data as outlined in this clause.
- KNOWLEDGE HUB CONTENT
All knowledge hub content is taken from trusted third party sources or is derivative of content from these sources. Eolas Medical ensures this content is relevant. Depending on user account types, the Eolas Medical platform may contain sponsored educational content, promotional content and medicines information from Pharmaceutical, Medical Device Companies and Industry Partners, this content is either written and reviewed by the Eolas Medical clinical team or produced and provided by Medical teams in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies and then reviewed internally by Eolas Medical to ensure all content is safe, evidence based and provides additional value to the users of the platform. This content may contain promotional information/content.
The Services may contain (or you may be sent via the Site or App) links to other websites ('Third-Party Websites') as well as articles, photographs, text, graphics, pictures, designs, music, sound, video, information, applications, software, and other content or items belonging to or originating from third parties ('Third-Party Content'). Such Third-Party Websites and Third-Party Content are not investigated, monitored, or checked for accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness by us, and we are not responsible for any Third-Party Websites accessed through the Services or any Third-Party Content posted on, available through, or installed from the Services, including the content, accuracy, offensiveness, opinions, reliability, privacy practices, or other policies of or contained in the Third-Party Websites or the Third-Party Content. Inclusion of, linking to, or permitting the use or installation of any Third-Party Websites or any Third-Party Content does not imply approval or endorsement thereof by us. If you decide to leave the Services and access the Third-Party Websites or to use or install any Third-Party Content, you do so at your own risk, and you should be aware these Legal Terms no longer govern. You should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of any website to which you navigate from the Services or relating to any applications you use or install from the Services.
- HEALTHCARE ORGANISATION CONTENT
- Your Healthcare Organisation may use the Software to make available Healthcare Organisation Content to End Users through the Companion App, and grants Eolas such rights as Eolas may reasonably require to use the Healthcare Organisation Content to provide access to it through the Software and the Companion App.
- Eolas claims no ownership over any Healthcare Organisation Content. If the Healthcare Organisation uploads any content not owned by the Healthcare Organisation, i.e. guidance or other materials they are responsible for that content, ensuring it is updated and ensuring any associated copyright is respected. The Healthcare Organisation warrants that it has the permission to make the Healthcare Organisation Content available to Eolas and to the End Users through the Software and the Companion App.
- The Healthcare Organisation is free to update or remove Healthcare Organisation Content from the Software at any time. The Healthcare Organisation shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the Healthcare Organisation Content is accurate, up-to-date, and complete at all times.
- The Healthcare Organisation shall ensure that no Healthcare Organisation Content contains any illegal, defamatory, or offensive materials. The Healthcare Organisation acknowledges that Eolas does not monitor or moderate any Healthcare Organisation Content.
- The Healthcare Organisation hereby gives permission for any content which forms part of the Healthcare Organisation Content to be made available to other third party users of the platform, to use in good faith to help share knowledge and improve healthcare delivery. The liability for the use of this content by users external to the Healthcare Organisation rests solely with that end user as is accepted in this End User Licence Agreement (EULA) and Disclaimer.
- ADMINS AS END-USERS - you become a platform admin if you have been granted access by your organisation to manage content or if for any other reason you have the ability to add content to the Platform. Admins managing content and controlling access must agree to all the terms in this End User Licence Agreement and Disclaimer (EULAD) as well as adhere to any implemented Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) policy for the use of the Service within their team. ADMINS ACCEPT FULL LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE:
- Content uploaded is accurate, current, and evidence-based
- User access is properly managed and restricted
- Expired or outdated files are reviewed and updated
- Compliance with organisational and regulatory standards
- If relevant, every file must have an expiry date assigned at the time of upload.
- Uploaded content is reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
- No patient data is added to the platform.
- To use the audit history function of the platform to see who has edited content
- They conduct regular reviews of content expiry dates to identify documents that need updating.
- Expired documents should either be updated, replaced, or removed if no longer relevant.
- Content Review and Approval: Content must be peer-reviewed before it is uploaded or updated.
- That the source of information is reputable and trusted
- Access should be granted only to users who require it for their role.
- Role-based access control (RBAC) to assign appropriate permission levels are used
- Users complete necessary training before being granted admin access.
- Conduct regular reviews of user access lists to remove
- They do not share login credentials or allow multiple users to use the same account.
- That any outdated or inaccurate content is flagged immediately for review.
- That if a security breach is suspected, disable the affected account immediately and escalate to the appropriate teams.
- They conduct regular internal audits to review compliance.

The information provided by Eolas Medical LTD ('we', 'us', or 'our') on the Platform and our mobile application is for general informational purposes only. Any Al information on the Site and our mobile application is provided in good faith, however we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information on the platform (web or mobile applications). UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHALL WE HAVE ANY LIABILITY OF YOU FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE USE OF THE SITE OR OUR MOBILE APPLICATION OR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THE SITE AND OUR MOBILE APPLICATION. YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND OUR MOBILE APPLICATION AND YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION ON THE SITE AND OUR MOBILE APPLICATION IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Information may be provided by your institution, or has been obtained from third party sources (referenced appropriately). These resources do not trump clinical judgement. Before any clinical decision is made based on the information provided by the Platform, always double check content and responses, and if there is any doubt, discuss with a senior or colleague.
This Platform is solely owned, and is a product released, by Eolas Medical Ltd. The App contains and presents appropriately referenced third party information in an easy to access format for quick clinical use. - TERMINATION
Eolas Medical reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at its sole discretion if you violate this Agreement.
- GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration or litigation in Northern Ireland.
