About Eolas
Accessing medical knowledge rapidly and easily at the point of care is still very difficult for healthcare professionals. Eolas Medical is transforming how critical medical knowledge is accessed at the point of care.
We have a vision that the future of healthcare ensures that the world’s medical knowledge is queried, seamlessly in real time, for every clinical decision ever made for a patient. We’re building and deploying the “brain of an AI doctor”.
Designed and developed by doctors, the platform aggregates and indexes tens of thousands of items of medical content, enabling rapid and accurate decision-making. It’s currently being used by hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals globally, over 85% of acute NHS hospitals, 40% of all doctors in Ireland and also used in world leading institutions in the US including Stanford Healthcare, Mass General and Boston Children’s Hospital.
We’ve just closed a $12million Series A fundraise and we’re now hiring our first dedicated Head of Product to take the product reins from our founder and help us build the next generation of AI powered clinical knowledge tools.
If you are an experienced product leader who still loves getting close to the work and the users, this is one of those rare roles where your decisions will literally influence how doctors treat patients every day.
The role
You will be the first senior product hire at Eolas Medical. You will work directly with the founder CEO and our small team of doctor engineers to shape the roadmap, own key product initiatives end to end, and lay the foundations for a world class product organisation.
This is a hands on role. You will spend time with clinicians, sit beside engineers, define and iterate the roadmap, and ship features that drive adoption and measurable outcomes. Over time, as we grow, this role can evolve into VP Product and Chief Product Officer.
What you will work on
You will become the connective tissue between users, business and engineering, with a particular focus on our AI answer engine and product led growth.
Core responsibilities
- Own key product areas end to end
- Take full ownership of major product initiatives from discovery to launch and iteration
- Define the problem, shape the solution, write clear specs and user stories, and work closely with engineers to ship fast
- Initially expect to own several significant features at once, for example our AI answer engine and our learning and education features
- Deeply understand clinicians and their problems
- Spend meaningful time with doctors, pharmacists and clinical teams to understand how they work and where they struggle
- Turn messy real world workflows and clinical constraints into clear product requirements
- Champion user empathy inside the team while balancing clinical safety and commercial impact
- Drive product strategy and roadmap
- Work with the founder to translate our vision of “AI doctor building blocks” into a clear, staged roadmap
- Understand our bottom up go to market motion and design features that reinforce it
- Help decide what we build now, what we build next, and what we deliberately do not build
- Lead execution with engineering
- Partner with our product minded engineers to plan sprints, prioritise work and unblock decisions
- Manage delivery for small cross functional groups across web, mobile and backend
- Keep a high bar on quality while still moving quickly in a startup environment
- Make it measurable
- Define up front what success looks like for every feature
- Instrument product usage, set up event tracking and dashboards, and use data to inform decisions
- Own adoption and engagement metrics for your areas of the product
- Close the loop with go to market
- Partner with founder and commercial team on how new features are positioned and rolled out
- Ensure feedback from sales, customer success and support flows back into the roadmap
- Help drive product led growth by designing great self serve and activation experiences
- Lay the foundations of product as a function
- Introduce lightweight, sensible product practices that fit a seven person team, not a fifty person one
- Help us decide when it is time to add more product managers, product designers and analysts and what good looks like in those roles
- Build a product culture that is autonomous, evidence informed and obsessed with real clinical impact
What success looks like
In the first twelve to eighteen months you will have
- Taken full ownership of several core product initiatives and shipped them into production
- Increased activation and usage of our AI answer engine across existing and new accounts
- Helped grow key company metrics such as content uploaded, monthly active users and revenue through the product work you have led
- Given the team more clarity and focus on what to build, in what order and why
- Reduced the extent to which the founder has to act as the single product bottleneck
- Put in place simple but robust ways to measure product performance and learn from customers
- Earned the trust of a highly autonomous team of doctor engineers by making good decisions and sweating the details with them
You might be a great fit if
- You are an experienced product manager or product lead in product led growth and/or B2B SaaS
- You have owned significant product areas end to end, not just shipping tickets
- You have taken at least one product from early traction through meaningful scale
- You enjoy being both strategic and hands on
- You are comfortable zooming out to multi year vision and zooming in to copy in a modal on the same day
- You are happy to run discovery calls, sketch flows, write specs and dive into analytics yourself
- You are product led growth fluent - i.e have designed features and onboarding that drive self serve adoption and expansion
- You know how to set up and interpret product analytics rather than relying on others to do it for you
- You work brilliantly with engineers
- You have a track record of strong partnerships with senior engineers and engineering leads
- You are used to working with highly autonomous, product minded engineers who make many decisions at build time
- You are analytical and evidence driven
- You are comfortable defining and owning KPIs for your product areas
- You know how to use both qualitative insight and quantitative data to make decisions
- You care about users and outcomes
- You are naturally curious about how clinicians actually work on the ward or in clinic
- You want your work to have real world impact, not just optimise another ad funnel
Nice to have
These are bonuses, not requirements
- Experience with AI products, especially retrieval augmented generation, search or recommendation systems
- Experience in tools for knowledge management, collaboration or workflow automation
- Exposure to healthcare or regulated environments, or a strong interest in learning this space
- Experience as a first or early product hire in a fast growing startup

Why join Eolas Medical
This is not a normal product role.
You will help define how AI is safely used in front line healthcare. You will work with a small team of clinician engineers who care deeply about both product quality and patient outcomes. You will join at the moment we move from a lean, scrappy team of seven to a scaled organisation with real resources behind it.
You will not be one product manager among many. You will be the person who shapes how Eolas Medical builds product for years to come.
